My name is Matthew Godden. I’m an editor, ghostwriter, and writing coach, certified by Editors Canada in Structural Editing and Stylistic Editing. I’m experienced and intuitive, and I love helping authors with the hard work of taking their projects to the next level.
Proudly based in London, Ontario, I’ve been working with clients locally and globally since 2006. Some of my specialties are:
- developmental editing, thorough manuscript evaluations, and deep structure work
- high-level stylistic polishing of fiction, both literary and genre (romance, horror, fantasy, etc.)
- editing scientific, technical, or medical material for a lay or corporate audience
- self-help books and “big idea” books
I believe in the mysterious and transformative power of the writing process. I also believe in the power of a good book to change the world for the better: I love working on texts that challenge mainstream thinking and break new ground artistically and ideologically.
